Our role model is Christ

In the “eternal love” that is continually put into practice, there is a great deal of miraculous power that can change a human’s life. Something special lies in the words “eternal love”. God loves us eternally – not only for a limited period of time. He eternally cares for us, invests in us eternally and has an eternal plan for man’s life, not only for a determined period of time.

We have been parents for seventeen years, mother and father of 19 children – the most special blessing we have ever had in our lives. All these years, we’ve experienced and realized more and more how important is to love for a lifetime, not only for a limited period of time. We believe, now more than ever, that these children given to us by God need a family for their entire lives.

The law and people’s vision in any given country regarding the orphan and abandoned children are bent towards taking care of these children only for a limited period of time, that is until they reach legal age. But we believe that this idea settled in people’s minds is a wrong one as long as they will not understand that what abandoned and orphan children truly need is a family, a mother and a father – who are the two role models in life – not only for a period, but for a lifetime.

These young people, if abandoned for the second time when they are 18 years old, might end up living on the streets as drug or alcohol addicts – as we all know from the living examples around the world. This is one more reason that strengthens our belief that they need a family even after they turn 18. They need love, they need support at every stage of their development: encouragement to continue to invest in their own lives by attending university, and someone to be there for them when they fail at an exam or when they graduate, when they need a job or when they lose one, when they find their life partner and when they get married, and even when they have their own children.

Love has the power to change lives and perform miracles in the lives of our children, who will go on loving and fighting for the future of their children, thus having an impact from generation to generation. These are the things that we have been experiencing in our family life in the last years. We are so glad that four of our children who have reached adult age continue to study at different universities, other three have jobs and two of our oldest children are already married. We dream of our future grandchildren, of many visits and family reunions.

We believe that the blessings and fulfillments in our family life have just begun and will never end. Our role model is Christ, who loves eternally!
